I agree with Dr Frazier’s opinion that what we wear gives
other people messages about ourselves. It has been my
experience that people who have an outgoing character
tend to wear bright colours and that shy people tend to
dress in darker colours and less fashionable clothes so as
not to attract too much attention to themselves.

Dear Chris,
Thanks for your last letter. School is also going well, but
I do have a problem.
I’ve joined an after-school rugby club,
and one boy is being very difficult. His name is Thomas.
He’s a good rugby player like me. He’s tall and strong, with
short dark hair. When we’re not playing sports he wears
nice clothes.
Thomas can be very arrogant and selfish. He’s not even nice
to his friends; he is rude and laughs when people get hurt.
Whenever Thomas is around I feel bad about myself
because if any of his friends are nice to me he teases them.
This has been going on for a few weeks now and I am
thinking of saying something to him. What do you think?
