Tracing Paper and Pencil.
2 Silver Brads: BRA035.
2 Silver Bells.
Tiffany Ribbon: MTR09-02 Silver.
Seed Beads: BEA35 Silver.
Embossing Tool.
Craft Knife, Ruler and Cutting Mat.
Double Sided Tape: ADH13.

2. Fold the
card, mount
in a zig zag
fashion and
open out again.
3. Place the
open card face
down on the
cutting mat and score the centre panel at 5cm from
the left fold. Turn the card over and place double
sided tape around the edges of this small panel.
4. Fold the end
panel back onto
the tape and press
firmly to stick.
5. To get a feel for
where everything
goes, refold to
form the card with
a stand up panel
as shown here.

TO MAKE THE CARD:

1. Cut a strip of silver card to 60mm x 203mm, meas-
ure and mark a step as shown in the diagram below.
Cut the two short sides of the step and score the
three dotted lines. Fold the three scored lines to
make the step (see main photo above), place stacks
of fixers onto the underside of the step to support
it, and add d/s tape around all the edges. Leave the
backing on the pads and tape and put aside for later.

6. Work the the 3D dé-
coupage and stick onto
the bottom centre of the
front panel leaving 12mm
of background below
the dress.
7. Unfold the card. Take
the silver card saved
from earlier, peel the
backing from the pads
and tape, and stick to
the open edge of the
inside back flap (card shown folded for clarity).
8. Cut a piece of silver card to exactly fit the front panel of the card
and lightly mark a line down the centre. Trace the door shape
and handle position from the diagram. Lay the tracing over the
silver panel, align the bottom edges and place the tall door-line
along the centre mark. Emboss over the handle and lines to trans-
fer to the card then turn the tracing over and repeat for the second
door, make sure the silver step (7) fits nicely in between them. Cut
along the top curve of both doors
and the centre line between them.
Emboss the short, outer lines
and fold the doors open.
9. Cut two 3cm lengths of the
ribbon and stick one end of
each behind each open door at
the handle marks. Cut a small
slot at the mark and push a
brad through from the front of
the (open) door and through
the ribbon, open the prongs to
keep the brads in place. Fold
the other end of each ribbon
to the back of the whole panel
and tape the top to hold the
doors open in a nice position.
10. Place sticky fixers around
the back of the doorway open-
ing, but not at the top of the
arch, then stick double sided
tape around the outer edges of
the whole panel. Stick into place
on the front panel covering the
edges of the découpage.
Punch a couple of sets of
leaves from the green stripe
paper, lay them along the silver
arch and gently shape the indi-
vidual leaves, I used a small and medium on each
side, allow the lower leaves to trail below the arch.
When you are happy glue them in place.
Punch about 18 white flowers, glue a silver bead
into the centre of each and lightly bend the petals up
around the beads. Glue the flowers over the leaves.
Use a little cotton to string the bells in place in the
centre of the arch. Tie a double silver bow and glue in
place at the centre of the arch. Add a congratulations

sticker to the top of each door, bending
it to follow the curve. Add the rest of
the words and the hearts to the doors.
I have an old border punch which
has hearts, flowers and dots which
makes lovely confetti, you may have
something similar in your collection or,
use the individual punches suggested
for the hearts and flowers. Punch a
few of each from the pale dotty papers
and glue over the step panel.
Stick a Mr & Mrs panel to silver card,
cut to leave a narrow border and mount
onto the confetti panel using some
sticky fixers.
