The Ancient town of History

Cracow is one of the largest cities in Poland. The old town brings a lot into your life as you walk on the old curvy roads across the town centre. The town is really massive, ranging from museums, social areas, cultural buildings as well as shopping centres and many more.

This is a very gray and dull town made by history, the roads and buildings are old, cracked, old windows in the houses reminding you of the films from the World War II, making you feel anxious and vulnerable as you walk in the very narrow roads of the cold town surrounding you with the massive houses, churches and other tall building making you feel like they want to hug you, when you walk through those small roads you could almost hear the buildings talking to you like they want to pass you a message.

When you get to the town centre it’s a lovely place and not as dull as the side streets of the town centre of Cracow, you will get the beautiful bright light blue sky shining like an ocean, the colourful flower gardens all over the place, neon lights from the shop colourful like a rainbow, the pigeons speckled with different shades of black, white and grey like an old black and white photograph, the beautiful but rare small patches of grass with the small spark of red, yellow and violet flowers looking like a million dollar painting.

You could be intimidated by the size of the buildings starring at you. In the morning people rushing in crowds over the city trying not to be late for work or education. People are rushing. They’re fighting and pushing. Trying to get to their place on time. Just as you walk on the roads of the city you can feel the history and the culture that it brings with every step that you put on the old roads, the beautiful smell of freshly baked savoury cookies being sold in the town centre, the smell of old brick from the buildings made before the World War I making you feel like you have moved in a time machine 100 years back.

It is really amazing when you walk in the centre of the town listening to the languages from all over the world, people laughing, smiling and having a great time on their holiday, enjoying one of the greatest towns in the whole Europe. This is a great place for holidays with loads of attractions for tourists, like old town, beautiful churches and museums carrying the history towards you.

You will be amazed when you walk across the town looking at all of the great attractions that the ancient town has to offer you, like the massive black dragon standing in front of the huge Vistula river, blazing the fires from its mouth into the air, you can see the children trying to climb it, tourists taking photo of it to capture the feeling that the city brings. There is also the beautiful Vistula river calmly flowing in the town, the boats quietly floating on the water slowly looking like clouds in the sky, the birds flying over the water like vultures seeing if any of the tourist would drop a piece of food on the cold ground.

The city also carries loads of tourists, when you walk along the town you will see many people from different countries, different background, different believes but all will be amazed by the aged town and all of the attractions it brings. When you walk along the Vistula River you will see the enormous amount of small stands where people will sell all kinds of stuff, the stand are all shining like a stars, all clean and tidy trying to pull the tourist and persuade them to spend their money on jewellery, food, drinks and souvenirs. The small stands pull their clients like a large magnet. People will be walking around taking photos trying to visit all the beautiful places the city has to offer them.
